Rode 100 miles for the Dagwood and was not disappointed. The bartender was really nice and the sandwich and fries were epic. Well worth the ride and will definitely be back!
Had the Bean and Bacon soup and it was superb. Just like my Nana used to make it. Also, the fried food is nice and crispy, yet not greasy at all. Yummy 😋
Excellent subs. Had some of the cheese steak, and club subs. Both were really good, no complaints at all. Had it at work with an office wide order so I can't speak to the building or service itself but the food is definitely worth having again.
As a fan of dive bars, I'm disappointed this is my first experience ever coming to spikes. Hands down the menu prices are right out of the 90s. The quantity is generous and the draft beer is the coldest I've had anywhere around. If you like a locally owned place with quick, attentive, and friendly service. A place where the owners aren't above servicing their guest and working right along side the staff. Then it's a place you need to come sooner than later to enjoy a low priced secret everyone should know.
The subs are amazing and very reasonably priced! Definitely 10 out of 10!
Headed to SC tomorrow and although I've only been going here for a few weeks (hubby visits several times a week after he drops me off at the gym.) I will miss the people there. Great food. The Dagwood sub is famous on the Eastern Shore.
The prices here are absolutely amazing. Cheapest subs in town!!! And their delicious! They don't kill you if you want a beer either, I got 3 beers 2 large sodas and three large subs two Phillis one cold cut all for less than 30$ and I didn't order out we stayed and played pool very down to earth bar nothing fancy just the right type of family place you want to go to get a beer after work or a wonderful price friendly lunch/dinner! Friendly staff as well! I will most certainly be bringing my business back!
It has the best dagwood sub I've ever had. Loaded with meat and bacon light on vegetables and the bread is excellent. My grandson had a cheeseburger sub, and the burger was the thickest I have ever seen and was hand patted out. Just one warning, though: the atmosphere is a bar with music playing and people shooting pool and playing darts. Not recommended for families with small ones. Staff was extremely nice as we had 9 people at our party and they had to put tables together for us. One gentleman tending bar and one woman making all the food. If you don't like bars atmosphere then order it to go as I don't think you will regret it.
An awesome local spot. Delicious easy food (the Dagwood is a meal for 2), cheap drinks and great service!
Got my first sub from there today. Very delicious and shocked at how low prices are. Will definitely be going back. Friendly and fast service.
